At Open Mind Learning & Fine Arts, our academic tutoring sessions provide structured instruction that goes beyond homework completion. We offer focused academic support that combines homework review, skill reinforcement, and personalized tutoring to build lasting academic foundations.

During each session, we start with homework — but we don't just complete assignments and move on. Our tutors take time to review the lessons, explain concepts, and prepare students for the week ahead.

This includes:

  • Practicing spelling and vocabulary words
  • Building reading comprehension skills
  • Strengthening math concepts and problem-solving
  • Completing online assignments with programs like IXL, Quizlet, Savvas, iReady, Reading Plus, Lexia, Imagine Math, and more

After homework is complete, we provide personalized tutoring tailored to each student's academic level while keeping pace with their current schoolwork. This approach helps students feel confident in class while making steady progress toward long-term skill mastery.

Our tutors meet students at their level, whether they attend Miami-Dade County Public Schools, a private or charter school, or learn at home through homeschooling. Our enrichment workshops give students opportunities to explore creative interests while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Available at our Hialeah location.

Helping Families Navigate School with Confidence

At Open Mind Learning & Fine Arts, we believe every child deserves access to quality tutoring and academic instruction. That is why we are proud to be an approved provider for Step Up For Students, a Florida scholarship program that helps families cover the cost of educational services.

Through Step Up For Students, eligible families can use scholarships to access our academic tutoring sessions and enrichment workshops. Many Miami-Dade families already benefit from this support.
